Immune System Boosters

If your immune system were strong enough, you could resist illness even if you were to become exposed. Think about it, if it were true that all exposure to germs caused illness, then all doctors and nurses would be constantly sick and they are not. So there must be something else at work. There is. A strong and healthy immune system is designed to fend off illnesses, and there are herbs and vitamins that will help your immune system become stronger.

I had 3 children and they were hardly ever absent from school because they did not get the colds and flus going around all the time in the public schools. The reason is that I made sure they took lots of the most important vitamins and herbs to support their little immune systems. Many people have asked me what they should take to help and after many years of research, I came up with a list of the most important supplements in our modern world.

In no particular order, my favorites are Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, Schizandra, Calcium, and a good multivitamin that includes a full spectrum of the B vitamins. Most people have heard of all of these, with the exception of Schizandra which is a fantastic herb that came to us from China and Russia. It has been widely available in the United States only since the early 1980’s, but is still not very well known…despite being a potent help for eczema and asthma sufferers…and a general immune system booster.

Pretty much everyone knows about Vitamin C, and most everyone has heard how important Calcium is…but studies are now showing that Vitamin D3 is much more important to your well being and a healthy immune system than was ever realized before. And since we’re all scared of the effects of the sun, most people don’t get enough. ( If they aren’t afraid of the sun, their job keeps them from going outside enough anyway.)

Much research has been done that shows our food does not have as many vitamins as it once did, since our soils are getting depleted, so at the very least, take a good Multivitamin every day. Your body will thank you for it, and maybe you’ll miss a cold this year.
