Yoga Stools For Supporting Balance in Yoga

Yoga Stools are also known as kneeling stools, meditation stools, zen benches, ergonomic kneelers, prayer stools and more. They are excellent for kneeling in meditation before, during, after and independently of a yoga practice. They help to enter and stay in a meditative state by making it easier and more comfortable to maintain a straight posture, allowing blood to flow easily through the legs, lower back and body in general, which is very important for returning to or beginning a yoga practice.

Making meditation an everyday practice, whether you include it with yoga or not is a good idea. Meditation helps to relax and calm your mind-body-spirit, which improves the physical function of your nervous system, affecting every part of your body, including your emotions and mind. Multi-Purpose Yoga Stools have a slight incline and can be made with padding, making them much more comfortable. I once spent 30 minutes in a meditative state and returned to my yoga practice with comfort and ease.

Aside from sitting on, Multi-Purpose Yoga Stools also serves as a balance support, like a wooden block. They are the only ones I am aware of that are built strong enough to be used in THREE DIFFERENT POSITIONS! If you try this with most yoga stools, they could fall over and injury could result. These three positions are up-right (of course), which gives you a 5-6 inch support, upside down for a 1 inch support (great for wrists in some positions) and on its side for a 18 inch support. This unique side support of 18 inches is very useful for getting into and out of Yoga postures properly and steadily.

I recommend these yoga stools above all others I have used and seen. They are strong, sturdy from multiple positions and very comfortable. They have made it much easier to spend more time in meditation both as apart of my yoga practice and outside of it, more time in yoga postures and allows me to more easily modify yoga postures the way I want to. These Yoga Stools are THE BEST!

Examples of unique modifications are Child’s Pose with hands pressing down above shoulders. This is very nice for opening the chest and shoulders. Another is in some twist variations, such as lunge. Having the higher support allows you to push into it, opening your torso. There are unique variations that are shown on my website with pictures.
